About Esther

Esther is a licensed speech-language pathologist and certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Esther earned her Bachelor of Arts dual-degree in Early and Elementary Education at the University of Hawaii. She then spent two years in Albany, New York where she earned her Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at The College of Saint Rose. 

 

​​Esther has extensive experience working in hospitals, schools, and clinical settings. She specializes in articulation/phonological disorders and is trained in PROMPT, which is a tactile approach that uses gentle touch cues to support articulation development. She also works closely with children experiencing language delays/disorders and is a trained provider of the Hanen Centre’s It Takes Two to Talk program. This program focuses on parent coaching on how to use practical, everyday strategies to support your child’s communication. Furthermore, Esther was a member of the autism team at Albany Medical Center, where she gained valuable experience in evaluating and supporting children on the autism spectrum, and other developmental delays.

 

Esther is passionate about helping children grow their communication skills in ways that will enhance their lives far beyond speech therapy. She is committed to helping children and families improve their quality of life through the joys of communicating and connecting with one another.​​​
